Hanna Bienert

Portrait of Hanna Bienert

Hanna Bienert is a violinist, producer and independent artist with roots in Berlin and a deep influence from Paris.

There she studied jazz violin with Didier Lockwood, one of Europe's most important jazz violinists, and unfolded her musical language in new dimensions in the French capital.

Her music moves between jazz, chanson, improvised music and cinematic atmosphere. Not because she cannot decide, but because she has chosen deliberately: for openness, for sound beyond categories, for an expression that really wants to say something. What drives her is not perfection. It is the search for a tone that speaks. For music that touches because it is honest.

This search has carried her far. Hanna has played at international jazz festivals, worked with artists from different musical worlds, and brought her violin into contexts far beyond jazz violin: swing, chanson, gospel, world music, film music, rock. Each of these fields was never just a genre for her, but an invitation to dive deeper into a culture, to create connections, to listen and to respond.

Hanna produces, composes, films, edits and thinks her projects through from beginning to end herself. She combines musical depth with modern audiovisual production and artistic self-determination. She is not building a career along a prescribed plan. She is building an artistic universe that is her own.
